Ashwood Addition

A serene new master suite

A serene new master suite extends the Ashwood Residence through a light-filled gallery that gently bridges the existing home with a contemporary addition. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and soft cove lighting turn the passage into a moment of calm, creating a quiet transition before entering the suite.

Inside, the bedroom is warm and textural, defined by expressive wood beams and a crafted half-height accent wall that anchors the space. Large windows open the room to the landscape, while an earthy, muted palette reinforces a sense of rest and retreat.

The bathroom continues this atmosphere with spa-like openness, a sculptural freestanding tub, and a dedicated wet area softened by subtle lighting and integrated niches. A small dry kitchen framed within an arched niche adds a carefully scaled moment of utility.

On the exterior, vertical cladding, wood accents, and simple openings maintain a subdued presence that sits comfortably alongside the existing home. A planted bed and green wall soften the new volume, allowing the architecture to feel both grounded and quietly modern. The addition offers a thoughtful extension of daily living—warm, refined, and connected to light and landscape.
